Practising Archery (OPEN)

* ARTEMIS *
Goddess of the Hunt
Artemis watched from the doorway into the Archery Ring. There was only a single girl in the ring, and the goddess watched her carefully. She nodded in approval of the girl's marksmanship, truly proud to call her a Hunter. Artemis had her hair in a usual braid, and a Hunter's uniform. Her skin glowed faintly as she watched in her 16 year form. She held her breath as she watch Kat shoot, hoping for a dead center shot. To her dismay, it was slightly to the left. Artemis realized this would be a great time to help a Hunter she hadn't very often spoken too. "Well done, Katerina." she said.

Artemis walked out of the shade in the doorway to the open. "Just lift your bow to your chin a bit more, and let's see if it gets a center, hm?" she suggested, raising an eyebrow. The goddess was glad to help her Hunter, and was really excited to in some sense. The Huntresses were like her children, and she loved them dearly.

Artemis heard another Hunter come in, and smiled at Eleni. She brushed her dark brown locks aside and watched her huntress aim and fire. Impressed with the outcome of the shot, a grin exploded across the goddess' face. "Well, Eleni, could you do that again?" Artemis asked. She got a kick out of seeing her daughters work with such amazingness, that she couldn't speak much more.

Artemis patted Katerina affectionately and walked over to The other hunter. "Just pull back a little bit more, and you'll hit it even harder." she said with a grin.

Eleni nodded, nocking two arrows and aiming at a target a little further away. She closed her eyes, and pictured herself soaring through the air at the target. She drew back as far as she could, and the two arrows soared in conjunction of eachother, spiraling around the other. The first arrow hit pinpoint on the mark, the second arrow shattered the first one completely, striking off center by a centimeter. "Thanks for the advice, Lady Artemis." she told her respectfully, her voice quiet and meek.

Artemis smiled softly at her Huntresses, glad that they took her adivce seriously, and without complaint. She often found this to be the case with several of her companions. "You're welcome." the goddess replied smoothly. She walked around the ring and look at the targets. Dead center. "I can't comprehend how good you guys are doing." Artemis said, obviously pleased.

She walked back to them and smiled again. "I think we'll go monster hunting again sometime." the goddess said with a large grin. If there was anything to get her heart pumping, it was hunting monsters. The sound of a well placed arrow hitting their skin made her day. Thinking about hunting gave her another thought, the newest hunter, Laine, had just caught her first kill. "Laine got us a deer for supper. I think Flare's been a good mentor to her." Artemis said absentmindedly. She didn't mean to show favorite, but Flare was a natural leader, and since she became a Huntress later, it seemed that girls looked up to her. As long as Laine had a friend, the goddess was just fine.

Eleni smiled at Artemis and Kat in approval. "Flare! She's a great huntress. I'd like to welcome Laine as well, and congratulate her on her first kill." Eleni knew who Flare was because of her times in the tents and camp with her. Flare was a great person to be around, she thought.
"Hmm, there's nothing I love more than monster hunting with my sisters." she told them in a firm voice. She thought about her first kill, and how far she really had come.

Eleni beamed at Kat and Artemis. "It's always fun being with my fellow huntresses and Lady Artemis herself." her voice was full of energy and happiness. She remembered her first mentor, and she missed her. Eleni also remembered when she mentored other huntresses. Being a daughter of Aeolus, she could hear the wind pick up and she smiled softly. She realized that Kat really was her sister. Kat was a daughter of Aeolus and a gatherer too.
